For a fifth year in a row, officials of NET4GAS, the exclusive operator of the natural gas transmission system in the Czech Republic, have handed motivational scholarships for academic excellence to students of the Department of Gaseous and Solid Fuels and Air Protection of the Faculty of Environmental Technology of the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague (KAP). As every year, apart from scholarship for academic excellence, NET4GAS donated funds for prizes awarded in a contest organized by the Student Science Conference for the best theses, the best term projects prepared by students of KAP's master's programs, and the most imaginative presentations of the results of research carried out by doctoral students. NET4GAS will remain KAP's general partner in 2017.

"We consider support for education in technical fields a part of our corporate social responsibility. Particularly in the case of a field that is closely related to our business," added Simona Holečková, Senior Specialist for Personnel Development at NET4GAS, adding, "Establishing a relationship with students already while they are still studying has proved successful. For instance, all three students who were awarded motivational scholarships last year as well as this year's awardee are already working actively with our company, which we are very pleased about."

"Long-term cooperation with NET4GAS allows us not only to motivate students to enroll in our institution, but also to improve the academic process relating to master's and doctoral programs in our field," explained KAP Director Karel Ciahotný.

Since 2012, NET4GAS has been the general partner to the Department of Gaseous and Solid Fuels and Air Protection of the Faculty of Environmental Technology of the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague as well as a partner to the Czech Technical University in Prague. Cooperation with both institutions will continue next year.
