Reverse Flow at IP Cieszyn

The subject of the Reverse Flow at the interconnection point (IP) Cieszyn project is, in the first phase, the construction of a DN 500 interconnector between the STORK I pipeline and the Třanovice delivery station. The project will create the possibility of gas supply from Poland for deliveries to Czech customers in the event of an extraordinary state of emergency. The project is currently in the permitting phase, with completion expected by the end of 2025.

The project was included in the Ten-Year Development Plan, and its implementation will enable fulfilling the obligation to ensure bi-directional capacity at the IP Cieszyn (in the first phase for the direction from Poland in case of an extraordinary emergency) in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/1938 concerning Measures to Safeguard the Security of Gas Supply. The project will also contribute to increase of the security of gas supply in the North Moravia region.
